I got this book for free after seeing it on a free book alert. I did not know the series or the author but thought it would be something I would enjoy. I liked the book and especially enjoyed the relationship between Mimi and Ky. Mimi's character is like Paris Hilton (or Kim K) in that she is famous for being rich. Mimi has her own travel tv show and lots of things that keep her in the public limelight until something happens that makes her rethink how she was living and how she viewed the world. Enter Ky, who changes and enhances Mimi's life as they fight to overcome a threat to Earth. I would recommend this book to others if you like paranormal/fantasy stories.Product details

This was hard to put down and not read it completely all at once .You get so engrossed in the story at times you feel like you are a part of it. Very intriguing!
This is just the book to curl up with on a summer afternoon. It offers an reading escape involving politics, a friendly dog, shape-shifting, a heroine coming to grips with illness and a moral lesson to wrap it all up.
Loved the character development and surprise twists! I can see many more adventures for Mimi in the future.
This is a great read! I highly recommend. Also would make a good stocking stuffer for the reader in your life.
I am already looking forward to the next installment of this series. The characters that have been introduced are intriguing, dynamic, believable, and fun. The alternative universe that is being developed is fascinating. Mimi is spunky, complicated and appealing. Ky is mysterious and powerful. I hope the author is busy writing right now!
Very enjoyable read! I thought that the book started a little slow with the first few chapters being devoted to background character development, but once Ky arrived, the book took on a life of it's own. The pace quickened and the plot thickened. I couldn't put it down, and I am looking forward to the next episode!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and strongly recommend to adults or young adults in general. I also recommend it to anyone who has chronic pain or a difficult to diagnose disease. I disclose that I know the author personally. Reading the book was like spending the day with its charming, witty, clever, and thoughtful author. At the surface, the book (and its main character) may seem simplistic yet larger questions and depth are revealed through struggle and surprise. As I devoured the book (a definite page turner), I became absorbed in the characters, their plight, the mystery of their lives, and the possibility that they might find healing, happiness, or romance... or perhaps all three!
